About Me
I began my art career informally, learning painting techniques from a woman who taught in her basement studio in South Minneapolis. Over a span of four years, I established a style combining realism and abstraction, furthering watercolor and oil images into traditional and modern representations.
I have shown my art in many venues in the Twin Cities, including Frameworks, rented spaces, and some galleries that have since closed.
For over twenty years, I worked for People Incorporated, and participated in the Artability Art Show, winning awards in eight of those years. I worked for People Incorporated as an art instructor as well.
At the level of press, I have been featured in The St. Paul Pioneer Press, The Star Tribune, and other local Minnesotan papers. I have been featured on local television four times.
At present, I paint in subject matters in different combinations, with the application of small dots infused throughout the complete image.
I hope you enjoy my work!
